Empowering a balanced, fulfilling life
Who I Am
My life path, shaped by different cultures, artistic practices, and analysis, nurtures an approach that is grounded, human, and attuned to each person’s uniqueness.
I have lived as a French expatriate in the pharmaceutical industry in Basel and in the arts in New York for years and know the joys and difficulties of learning to adapt to a new country in its industry, people, langage or customs.
I have a Masters in Fine Art from the New York Studio School and still pursue my own painting practice. Art and psychoanalysis share the access to the unconscious, and painting has naturally opened my analytic work.
I took training at the National Psychological Association for Psychoanalysis in New York and have deepened my clinical training at the National Institute for the Clinical Application of Behavioral Medicine (NICABM), including:
- Treating Trauma Master Series
- How to Help Your Client Integrate and Heal Their Shadow Parts
- Helping Clients Undo Patterns of Pleasing and Appeasing.
I am a member of :
– SNPPsy : the National Syndicat of Therapists in Relational Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis.
– FEDEPSY : the European Federation for Psychoanalysis in Strasbourg – France, and their Group of Psychoanalytical Studies (GEP).
My Approach
I help sensitive individuals, often expatriates or in life transitions, break free from repetitive patterns and reclaim their agency by offering a space of deep, analytical listening, turning their emotions into tools for clarity and confidence.
I draw on a psychodynamic understanding of difficulties: how unconscious conflicts, often stemming from childhood or past trauma, can replay in the present: in our relationships, emotions, or how we relate to ourselves. The goal is to foster deeper self-awareness, find meaning in recurring patterns, and open a path toward transformation.
I place a particular importance on the quality of the therapeutic relationship, the patient's rhythm, and their uniqueness. Creativity, silence, imagery, dreams, and resistance are all welcomed as valuable material in the therapeutic process.
Why work with me
Emotions exist and arise freely. The work is to access them and move through them with serenity.
I have been passionate about mental health since I was a teenager and have undergone years of psychoanalysis three times a week. I still see a therapist weekly as I see it as a wonderful life value. The different therapies I have tried to overcome depression and sickness have shaped my own practice today and brought lived experience into my work.
In order to make sure I stay grounded and keep learning, I seek weekly supervision with deeply respected American and French psychotherapists and psychoanalysts.
